EPA 608 Universal Certification Testing
Description
Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair or dispose of appliances that contain ozone depleting refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques.
Receiving an EPA 608 Technician certification is highly advised for technicians who service, maintain, or dispose of any equipment where refrigerants could be released into the atmosphere are required to receive certification.
The certification credentials do not expire so once you’ve taken the EPA 608 test, you won’t have to worry about it again unless the law changes.
