General Responsibilities

Responsible for the immediate and courteous attention to the guest needs and requests. Maintains a high level of professional service, clean appearance and able to offer complete information on hotel services and also information on city attractions.

Specific Duties

To report to work on time and in uniform, properly groomed with appropriate name tag. Immediately respond to all arriving and departing guests by opening door and assisting with luggage (from the vehicle to guest's rooms), parcels, etc. Make room deliveries requested by other departments or guests. Keep lobby neat and presentable (e.g. straighten up cushions, pick up waste paper on ground, etc.) Show rooms and hotel facilities to guests and potential guests as requested by management. Check bags for guests who wish to store them. Monitor lobby for non-hotel guests and report to management for handling. Explain hotel facilities while showing people to their rooms, i.e., the ?-pillars. Responsible for keeping necessary supplies on hand by informing the Front Office Manager/su-pervisor of Bell Staff needs. Inform Front Office Manager/Supervisor of any room requiring attention from Housekeeping or Maintenance. Encourage to visit local attractions, take tours and be familiar with hours of operations. Arrange activities for guests (i.e., tours, transportation). Report any security breaches or security concerns to management. Use time clock to punch in an out as required. Resolve guest problems and complaints, and report outcome to management. Assist front desk in answering telephone call and directing the calls to the appropriate source. Perform other related duties as requested by management. Attend necessary meetings.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Management. Excellent organization skills. Ability to work well under deadline pressure.

Experience

Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems essential, standard Microsoft Office tools essential, knowledge of database system development preferred.
