General Responsibilities

To ensure all linen is properly laundered, dried, folded, inventoried, and stored for use by Owners/Guests of the Imperial Hawaii Resort at Waikiki.

Specific Duties

Launder and dry all linen (feed and remove linen from machines). Fold and store all linens. Wash and dry bath robes, pool towels and lounge chair covers. Wash and dry Employees’ uniforms and Guest’s clothing (if necessary). Distribute clean Uniforms to Ladies and Men lockers. Iron uniforms and/or linen if necessary. Prepare Housekeeper I - Rooms linen supply on a daily basis. Take linen inventory on a monthly basis. Examine, separate and treat stained linen for redistribution. Take inventory of damage and discard linen on daily basis. Maintain the cleanliness of the dryers, washers, laundry scale, laundry bins and laundry area. Report any machines that are not operating properly. Report any short of linen items. Attend to and assist in guests’ needs. Observe safe working practices and wear protective equipment furnished while performing assigned tasks, as required. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work with people in a modest paced environment. Must be multi-tasked oriented. Flexible and Dependable.


1-2 years Laundry and/or Housekeeping experience preferred.

Licenses or Certification

High School Diploma preferred.

Physical Requirements

Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, pushing and pulling, lifting, stretching and bending.
