General Responsibilities

Performs dual function as a Food & Beverage Cashier and Hosthelp. As a Hosthelp is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the dining room. Assists in the direction of Waithelp and Bushelp. Checks tables to see that they are properly set; assists Food Service personnel in emergencies; greets and seats guests, and issues menus. As a Cashier, is responsible for the proper issuing, pricing, recording and receipt of all Food and Beverage chits; follows established procedures in accepting cash, check or charge accounts payments; tallies and turns in daily receipts; prepares meals recap reports; prepares daily meal abstracts; is responsible for a bank; checks as required to see that all food leaving the kitchen is duly authorized; and also takes, dispatches and accounts for all room service orders.

Able to type 45 WPM and use a 10-key adding machine required. Basic Math skills required.


Previous Cash Handling experience required.

High School Diploma Required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 25lbs from floor to waist. Must be able to lift 20lbs overhead. Must be able to carry 20lbs with two hands, 10lbs with one hand. Must be able to pull or push with a wheeled cart 25lbs.
