Electrician Maintenance at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani
Under general supervision, performs the less difficult tasks requiring a considerable variety of skills; for example, helps testing, repairing and maintenance of electrical equipment; helps install conduit for new wiring; assists in the erection, dismantling and maintenance of structures, fixtures, furniture and other properties in connection with electrical work.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be comfortable with using a computer as ordering and work order systems are computerized. Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel programs. Must have at least 5 years experience and knowledge to locate electrical troubles and to perform all classes of inside electrical work in accordance with State of Hawaii and City & County of Honolulu regulations and code requirements. Experience using multimeters, portable power tools and various hand tools. Must be able to read operating and instructional manuals, blueprints and wiring diagrams. For supervisory positions must have at least 6 months supervisory, scheduling and ordering of supplies experience.
Licenses or Certification
State of Hawaii electrical license required. Previous experience from education and training.
Lifting - 50lbs. Moving equipment, tools and supplies from one level to another, upward pulling included. Pushing - 200lbs. Exerting force to move an object away from the force; includes slapping, striking and use of foot controls, while using multimeters, various hand tool and portable power tools. Pulling - 200lbs. Exerting force to move an object towards the force; includes jerking while using multimeters, various hand tool and portable power tools.
