Housekeeper II - Houseperson at Imperial Hawaii Resort
To ensure that the public areas are well maintained, cleaned and ready for use by the Owners/guests of the Imperial Hawaii Resort at Waikiki, as well as assisting room cleaners and other housekeeping staff with daily duties.
Perform specialized cleaning duties or assignments that require a high degree of skill, responsibility, or uncommon physical effort. Clean and maintain public areas and offices. Clean and maintain storage facilities.Follow the daily cleaning schedule for all public areas and offices. Empty ash trays, ash urns, and trash receptacles in public areas. Keep staircases in clean condition. Keep sidewalks and surrounding areas of The Imperial property clean and free of trash. Ensure the cleanliness of the Hot Tub area, including restrooms, sauna, massage room, and the exercise area. Ensure the cleanliness of the Owner’s lounge including the restrooms, carpets, dusting, and the kitchen. Attend to and assists guests’ needs. Deliver linen and any related room amenity that are requested by housekeeping personnel or guests/owners. Clean light fixtures, ceiling fans, and vents. Shampoo carpets and upholstery. Scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors. Clean windows and lanai door tracks. Move furniture and set up for functions as required. Collect recycle from assigned bins, sort, and assist in the delivery. May leave property accompanied by manager to drop of recycle. Assist Supervisor or Manager performing inventory (supplies and linen inventories). Maintain all equipment used daily and reports any discrepancies of broken parts and keeps equipment clean to ensure safe and proper working order. Operate garbage compacting unit. Observe safe working practices and wears protective equipment furnished while performing assigned tasks, as required. Perform duties assigned to Housekeeper I – Rooms and Housekeeper I – General Cleaner. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work with people in a modest paced environment. Must be multi-tasked oriented. Flexible and Dependable. Ability to use two-way radio, pager, headset, shampooer, wet vac, extractor, blower, vacuum, broom, dust pan, supply cart, cleaning chemicals. Positive attitude and Aloha spirit needed.
1-2 years Housekeeping experience
Licenses or Certification
High School Diploma
Walking, standing, bending, pushing, some lifting and carrying.
